    Please it with booking calendar.

    Visit Time
    From November 1st to March 31st 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Close)
    *You can not visit December 31st.

    *There will be lot of snow on a streets and icy roads.
    Please have snow tires or chains.
    It will be safer if four-wheeled vehicle.

  • Nov 25.2019 close Every Wednesday from December until the end of March is closed.
    The staff is absent.

  • Aug 26.2019 news With the revision of the consumption tax from October 1st, 2019, only the dinner fee will be changed to a 10% consumption tax.

    * April 1st - November 30th is Facility charge 30,000 yen
    * December 1st - March 31st is Facility charge 25,000 yen

    When sharing in 2 groups 30,000 yen÷2 groups = 15,000 yen

House of Light room

This experimental work, where you can experience the artist's art world,
is architecture without a parallel to anywhere in the world.

House of Light was conceived as a guesthouse for meditation,
which Turrell took the concept from Junichiro Tanizaki's essay In Praise of Shadows.

The idea came across the artist's mind to incorporate his media, lights,
with the traditional usage of light in Japanese houses.

We hope you will enjoy your time surrounded by various kinds of lights amid
the abundant nature of Echigo-Tsumari.
